The short version
11API doesn't have a backend server, doesn't require an account, and doesn't store your video, your voiceover text, or your API keys anywhere except your own browser. Your API key and generated content go directly between your browser and ElevenLabs' or Gemini's servers — 11API never sees or handles them in between.
Your API key
When you add an ElevenLabs or Gemini API key, it's saved only in your browser's localStorage — a storage space built into your browser that stays on your device. It is never transmitted to any server we operate, because no such server exists. Clearing your browser data or using a different browser/device means the key won't be there anymore, and you'll need to add it again.
Your video and voiceover text
Video files you upload are processed entirely in your browser and are never uploaded anywhere. Text you write for voiceover lines is sent directly from your browser to whichever provider you've selected — ElevenLabs or Gemini — using your own API key, so that generation happens. That text is subject to ElevenLabs' privacy policy or Google's privacy policy (for Gemini) once it reaches them — 11API has no control over, or visibility into, what those providers do with it after that point.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand overall traffic — things like which pages are visited and roughly how many people use the site. Google Analytics can set cookies and collect information such as your approximate location, device and browser type, and pages viewed. It does not have access to your API key, your video content, or the text of your voiceover lines, since none of that ever reaches our analytics or any server we control. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Advertising
11API may display ads served by Google AdSense or similar ad networks. These networks can use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can review and adjust how Google personalizes ads for you at Google Ads Settings, and you can find more detail on how Google uses data from sites that use its services at How Google uses information from sites that use our services.
Cookies, in general
Aside from what Google Analytics and any future ad network set, 11API itself does not use cookies. Your browser's local storage (used only for your API key and app preferences, as described above) is not a cookie and is not sent to any server.
Children's privacy
11API is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
